Hyperphysics

This web site by C. R. Nave hosted by Georgia State University provides a comprehensive coverage of physics with very nice tutorials on all major concepts of physics.  Clicking the topic of interest on the concept map will produce a concept map of subtopics; further clicking gives well written tutorials.  These concept maps help one see how the various topics are interrelated.  You can access the web site or  purchase the materials on CD ROM.

Introductory Physics Notes

This site contains lecture notes for a complete algebra based introductory physics class offered by the University of Winnipeg distance education program.  Each topic contains several subtopics and a section with practice problems.

Light and Matter

This web site contains a complete electronic physics textbook for a one year course at the algebra based level. There is also a calculus based version, Simple Nature, and a conceptual version, Discover Physics.  They can be downloaded electronically for free or purchased as a paper copy.  The author, Ben Crowell, is a professor at Fullerton College and uses these books in his classes there.

This web site contains tutorials on torque and rotational motion, DC circuits, free body diagrams, and simple harmonic motion.  There are also tutorials in basic math concepts.
