January 12: Become a Teacher Day in Pennsylvania
Govenor Rendell recognizes ABCTE, thanks teachers and encourages residents to consider the career
Washington, D.C. (January 12, 2010) —
Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell has proclaimed January 12, 2010 as "Become a Teacher Day" in the state.
The proclamation begins, "It gives me great pleasure to join the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) in support of January 12, 2010 as Become a Teacher Day in Pennsylvania."
Governor Rendell thanks teachers for "their exceptional dedication to the welfare and enrichment of our children" and expresses "hope that anyone interested in a career change will look at becoming an educator and mentor to the young people of our Commonwealth."
