Assocation of American Educators
The Association of American Educators (AAE) is the largest national, non-union, professional teacher association. Their mission is to advance the profession through professional development, teacher advocacy and protection and promoting excellence in education.
Troops to Teachers
ABCTE and Troops to Teachers partnered in 2005 to recruit qualified military personnel to the teaching profession. Because Troops to Teachers does not offer teacher certification, but rather referral and placement services, ABCTE is the perfect partner to provide more options for members of the military to earn their certification.
MyCAA – Military Spouses Career Advanced Accounts
The Department of Defense has implemented a new Military Spouse Career Advanced Accounts (MyCAA) program that offers up to $4,000 to military spouses who are interested in pursuing degree programs, licenses and credentials including ABCTE's teacher certification program.
To get started, eligible spouses should establish a MyCAA Account by visiting the MyCAA website. Once spouses provide their registration information at the portal, DOD will verify their MyCAA eligibility and the spouse will be notified of their eligibility status through the MyCAA messaging system.
