Financial Aid

ABCTE realizes that the cost of our standard program—$1995 for most certifications—may not be affordable for everyone. In addition to our installment plan, which spreads the payments for the program out over eight months, we now offer financial aid to anyone who meets the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) income eligibility guidelines for reduced school meals. Anyone who qualifies for financial aid will receive 45% off the cost of the ABCTE Standard Program.

Financial aid is also available for our ABCTE Plus+ program. Qualifying candidates will receive 36% off the full cost of ABCTE PLUS+.

NOTE: You can still pay via the installment plan if you are eligible for financial aid.

Please follow the steps below to determine if you are eligible:

1. Find the size of your household in the first column of the chart below.

2. Follow the row across to the income level (before taxes).

If your income is at or below the level listed, you are eligible for financial aid. To apply, please complete the Financial Aid Request Form and submit it to the ABCTE Finance Department via fax at 202-261-2638.

If your income level is above the listed level, you do not qualify for financial aid but you may want to consider our installment plan.

Financial Aid is only available if payment is from a personal resource and is not eligible for third-party payments from organizations, companies or School Districts.
