Future ABCTE candidates: The market is a challenging place for teachers both new and old; only the prepared applicant is able to stand out from the crowd and land the job. Come to a rare in-person information session on ABCTE and stay for a primer on job skills, including mind-set, interview tips and the steps to building a great resume.
Interested candidates can then stay for our enrolled Test Preparation workshop as a sample class to see if ABCTE is right for you. We will demonstrate how to be successful in our program by presenting how to practice for the writing component and multiple-choice sections, as well as provide proven strategies for computer testing.
If your dream is to be a GREAT teacher for future students, you owe it to yourself to come to this event. This a fantastic opportunity for you to fully explore the ABCTE certification program before enrolling.
A special promotion will be offered on the day of the event, and full scholarships are also available through our Teach & Inspire Scholarship Program.
Current ABCTE candidates: This LIVE event will feature Albert Chen, a 15-year veteran of standardized test preparation, who will present specific test strategies to raise your chances of success on the exams, as well as job skills training to help you in your job search once certified. These sessions will include:
- Tips for interviewing with principals and navigating district hiring procedures.
- Resume building exercises.
- Specific writing strategies including getting organized with an outline, pacing, and proofreading exercises.
- Multiple choice strategies to help you organize your time, stay focused, prevent stress, and eliminate wrong answer choices.
- Important test day insights and tips, including what to bring, test center rules, and how to mentally and physically prepare yourself.
You will be privy to cutting edge approaches to the BEST question found on the PTK and tactics to successfully tackle the writing component. If you are looking for an edge on the exams or simply looking for a way to jump-start your exam preparation, this session will provide you with time-tested tools to get the most out of your preparation resources.
