Testing Centers & Candidate Conduct
Testing Accommodations
ABCTE provides appropriate accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act for individuals who have documented disabilities and demonstrate a need for accommodations. When warranted, reasonable accommodations that are appropriate to the disability will be granted to the extent that such accommodations do not lessen the examination’s ability to reflect an applicant’s aptitude or achievement level, fundamentally alter the examination, or result in undue burden.
Accommodations must be requested and approved before scheduling your exam.
To ask for an accommodation request form, visit http://helpdesk.abcte.org
Scheduling Your Exam Date

All test center regulations will be strictly enforced. Test center personnel are authorized to dismiss test takers from the center and/or recommend that ABCTE invalidate test results for violation of any regulation. The test will be administered on a standard computer system. You will have the opportunity to go through a tutorial prior to beginning your examination to familiarize yourself with features of the test. Test center personnel will be available to assist you and to explain how the examination will be administered before testing begins.
If you have a complaint or comment about the testing center or testing conditions, you MUST tell test center personnel at the time of testing. Your comments will be passed on to ABCTE. You must also request a test center incident report form at http://helpdesk.abcte.org
Admittance
You must arrive at the test center 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of your examination in order to check in and present your identification to the test center staff. If you do not arrive by the scheduled starting time, the test center staff may not admit you. You are responsible for the late cancellation fee unless you are able to provide evidence that you were delayed for reasons beyond your control. This does not include incidents of automobile traffic, slow public transportation, etc.
In order to be admitted for testing, you must bring two valid forms of signature identification. One form must be a government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or military identification card with signature. The second form can be a credit/debit card.
Expired identification cards of any kind will not be accepted. If you fail to provide proper identification that is current, you will be denied admission to the test center, counted as absent, and subject to a late cancellation fee before your examination can be rescheduled.
