Two New Study Resources for the PTK Exam

ABCTE has built two new study resources for the ABCTE Professional Teaching Knowledge (PTK) exam.

The first is a PTK Standards Workbook, which contains 100 pages of content designed to maximize your studying for the ABCTE PTK exam.

The second is the PTK Supplementary Quiz Bank. This targets the topics in the PTK standards that people have missed the most on the actual exam.

I will begin by saying that

I will begin by saying that I am very appreciative of the newly developed materials that ABCTE offers. I choose this program instead of enrolling in grad school because of the convenience that the program offers as well and the cost. I will admit that since my joining the program, I have been a little confused about the standards. While I have been studying additional materials and the refresher course with great success, I found that my experience with the standards is quite different. I have called in numerous times to gain clarity on how to approach my studies but all it does is leave me more confused. I assumed that because quizzes existed for the ELA refresher course that it would be the same for the PTK. After realizing I was wrong I shrugged it off and continued in my studies. Now to my surprise ABCTE is offering more resources for the PTK but for a cost. Honestly, I feel like these resources should have been offered for each participant as they begin the program. However, since they were not available at the time I think that they should be offered at no cost to current participants. If ABCTE does not want to make all the resources available for free then at least provide an adequate quiz for PTK refresher course and more study information on the standards at no extra for currently enrolled participants.
