Teacher of the Year
Posted May 28th, 2010 by Mike Holden
We're approaching 2,500 teaching certifications issued and, with story after great story coming to us about our teachers’ accomplishments, we have decided it is time to recognize this fantastic work through an ABCTE Teacher of the Year award.
We will honor an ABCTE Teacher of the Year from individual ABCTE states and then select a National ABCTE Teacher of the Year. In order to be considered, ABCTE certified teachers must be nominated by their principal through our website. The deadline for nominations is Friday, June 25.
Stay tuned for more details on our search for the first ever ABCTE Teacher of the Year!

observer, no, I was saying I
observer, no, I was saying I sounded like Mrs. Reiker was a little annoyed by the fact that it seemed that in his opinion that she was in a school with teachers who are considered ineffective. In other words, seems very displeased with a large number of teachers aound her, so much so that she believes that legislation like this will help. I think it will be a slow process for schools to clean up dead wood (if any .. I work in a school with exceptional teachers and trust my child with them), however, if the merit pay "incentive" do not stop being so important, then I think many teachers would soon (if they had not done) and school systems have only a very select few who believe that their time is worth so little, that would give nothing. Also we do not know the exact number of learning gains, nor do we know how they will be measured. Not that this is good, but I can not see the status bar so high that during the first year of its mre implitation number of half or recados para orkut of the teachers would not be able to achieve with their students. If this was so I think that this could also hinder future recruitment of teachers. I do not want the governor to sign this bill, nor did I ever want to happen, but mostly because of its vagueness and nonspecificity, especially the exact number.
