William (Bill) Schimmel

Vice President of Business Administration

Bill Schimmel serves as the Vice President of Business Administration. In this role, he oversees all ABCTE test development and information technology.

Bill's accomplishments at ABCTE include the successful implementation of the innovative MyPass certification portal and overseeing the creation of ABCTE's nationally-recognized certification examinations, which have been widely lauded for their high standards and technical validity.

Before his work with ABCTE, Bill worked in the telecommunications market for Accenture, a global consulting firm providing management and technology solutions to an international base of clients. While at Accenture, he led teams of employees in implementing process and software solutions in the areas of billing, customer care, service provisioning and training for telecommunications companies.

Bill is an experienced project manager and technical writer with a consistent track record of achieving quality results. His experience with aggressive project plans, vendor management, information technology and solving complex problems have served ABCTE well.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Loyola College in Maryland. In addition to his work with ABCTE, he enjoys History books, the outdoors and endurance events such as marathons and triathlons.
