Director of Program Development and Evaluation
Josh Boots has spent three years at ABCTE as Director of Program Development and Evaluation. Boots was the primary grant writer for and now directs the new $6.4 million federal Transition to Teaching grant program Teach & Inspire. He also currently oversees the development of the Distinguished Teacher certification program, including the current pilot study with teachers in Ohio and Florida, and manages all program research. ABCTE conducts rigorous evaluation of its certification programs, both internally and by national researchers, to ensure the program continues to improve student achievement nationally.
Boots earned his Bachelor's degree in secondary education and taught middle school mathematics in the Washington, DC Public Schools through Teach For America.
